In order to ensure that our campaign is successful in getting Derbyshire County Council to back down from their plans to lease the estate off to private bidders, we need People Power!

The County Council are already aware that their current plans for the disposal of the estate would result in the closure of much of the estate to the public - AND that the public are not be happy about that. But what we need to let them know is just how many people are unhappy about it.

So, we need the backing of as many of Derbyshire's residents (and beyond) as possible to show the Council that closing the estate off to the public is simply just not an option.

So, here's how you can help us to show the council what support the campaign to save Elvaston has:

Sign our petition:
We want to show the Council and Government just how strongly people feel about the possible closure of the estate so we're looking for as many signatures as possible on our petition. You can sign the petition online by clicking here.

Spread the word:
Once you've added your own name to the petition, tell as many friends and family as you can about it so they can also add their names. To send them a pre-written email explaining all about the campaign and the petition, click here.

Display a campaign poster:
Another great way to let others know what's going on is to download and display one of our campaign posters. You could even maybe get all your friends, neighbours or even local businesses to display them. Click here to download the posters.

Join the Friends of Elvaston Castle:
The Friends group are playing an active role in raising awareness and support for the campaign. The initial 8 members of the group have already collected more than 33,000 signatures for the petition - imagine what they could achieve with more members!
